The Festival opens on Saturday June 28th with the spectacular TAKEPART launch in Preston Park, with a breathtaking show performed by the world famous Team Extreme BMX display team and a vast array of sports, activities and fun games for all the family to enjoy, all free of charge. From Tai Chi to tug of war, bowls to touch rugby, there’s something for everyone.

On the weekend of July 5th/6th the Festival moves to the seafront and joins forces with the Paddle Round The Pier festival. If taking to the waves in a kayak or tin bath does not appeal, how about street surfing or petanque? These are just a few of the activities taking place in the sea and on Hove Lawns. Further along the seafront at the NIVEA SUN® Yellowave centre, you can join their volleyball fun.

A series of Tournaments and competitions including football, beach volleyball, tennis, golf, swimming and basketball involving teams from all over Brighton & Hove in the biggest celebration of sport the City has ever seen. On Sunday 13th July Brighton Carnival joins TAKEPART to provide a spectacular and fitting festival finale!
