The Paddle Round The Pier Beach festival are pleased to announce (as part of their community program) a Schools beach day which offers the Citys schools something very different.
In conjunction with Brighton Youth Centre and Surf Lifesaving GB,
We can offer your school a full days activities (up to two classes working in rotation) with an exciting mix of Skate board coaching for all levels plus for the first time outside of the West Country Surf Lifesaving lessons & workshops.For more information got to http://www.paddleroundthepier.com/paddle-promo-video-2011/

 

NB: Surf Lifesaving's activity is all dry side and will not involve water or the ability to swim.
However if conditions will allow; our top British SLS coaches will allow certain confident members of your class the opportunity to try a surf ski, and paddle board (wetsuits will be provided). SLSGB will provide all relevant risk assessments required.

Age: KS2

Cost: £50 per per class for the whole day - that's a session in the morning and a session in the afternoon - Can take up to 2 classes in one day from one School OR 2 classes from 2 different schools.Payment for sessions must be dealt with on the day and administered between your school and the deliverer.

Timetable: School Class:
Session one
9.30-11.30 skate workshop (on the flat and on ramps as required)
Lunch is from 11.30-12.30 (you will be expected to bring your own lunch)
Session two
12.30-2.30 Surf Lifesaving workshop
2.30 Finish allowing time to return to schools
