TAKEPART day, Preston Park. June 28th – a large scale free event starting the Festival with the largest exhibition of sports and physical activities ever seen in Brighton & Hove.
Spectacle events include:

Team Extreme – The UK’s leading extreme sports entertainers are bringing their most spectacular show to Brighton & Hove and with five performers on a 50 foot long and 12 foot high half pipe, it is guaranteed to take our breath away. |

The Urban Playground – The Brighton based Urban Playground team will be joined by two members of the original free running group from Paris for a dazzling display of Free Running and special performances. Also performing on June 29th – at 1pm and 3pm in Jubilee Square. |

Ice Skating – We know its summer but that’s no reason to get your skates on and have a go on a 14x15 metre synthetic ice rink that holds up to 75 people at one time. (charged event) |

British Heart Foundation record attempt – your chance to have fun, get into the national records and raise money for the British Heart Foundation. Join 2,000 people in a national record attempt for the largest number of people skipping at the same time. |

Run for The Children – Run for the Children in association with Nationwide, is a unique community fitness initiative for children, parents, friends and families featuring a series of 3km fun runs. The fun runs are open to all ages and abilities and you can choose to run, jog or walk. Enter Run for the Children and get the whole family active and on the move! |
