TAKEPART Local: Portslade Sports Centre

Portslade Sports Centre will showcase various tasters and demonstrations from local groups and clubs throughout the morning from 10am : 1pm. These will range from badminton to street dance, martial arts and trampoling. There will also be an Indoor Athletics and Cricket challenge that people can take part in. The afternoon 1pm : 4pm will see Street Games competitions run at the centre in conjunction with the charity Street Games and Hove YMCA. Street Games is a national charity that works with young people in disadvantaged communities and whose main goal is to make sport accessible for everyone. On the 11 July local and regional youth club and school teams will compete in a Street 3 v 3 Basketball competition and a Street Cricket tournament. TAKEPART Local: Woodingdean - Longhill Super Saturday

Join in the fun down in Woodingdean at the Longhill Super Saturday.
The Longhill Community Festival organised by the Longhill PTFA and supported by Deans Leisure Centre, Rottingdean & Saltdean Lions, PARC and Woodingdean Youth Centre will take place from 10.30pm : 3.30pm on the Longhill Secondary School and Deans Lesiure Centre site. Have ago on the Adventure Unlimited Climbing Wall, get a team together and enter the 5 aside primary and secondary school football tournament or find out more about the Deans Leisure Centre and the local clubs and groups who use the centre. Tasters and demonstrations for all ages will be taking place throughout the day along with pony rides and other fun activities for all of the family. Food and drink will also be available throughout the day from the Longhilll Community BBQ.

TAKEPART Local: East Brighton Park

The TAKEPART Local in East Brighton Park promises to highlight some of the exciting activities happening in the park and elsewhere locally. The event is being organised by Active East Brighton (part of the East Brighton Healthy Living Centre) and runs from 10 - 2pm. Tasters will include Tae Kwondo, a healthwalk, boxing skills, tai chi, belly dancing, flamenco and much more. Come along for some summer fun.
